3 Least Approached Blog Marketing Techniques
With thousands of blogs emerging on the web each day, marketing your blog has become a necessity. Gone are the days when you could update your blog frequently and get noticed, simply cause you write often. In today’s ever growing web, there are certain marketing practices that we need to embrace in order to gain visibility and exposure to what we have to say.
In this post I will share three basic blog marketing tips that seems to be ignored by most bloggers,
-
1.Email still seems to be the most unutilized form of blog marketing. You have all heard of email marketing ( not spam ). When you are starting out new, your blog sits in between rocks that are so big that you can barely be seen and noticed. Take that extra step and start using email as a marketing tool. Email other bloggers and let them know what you have got going. Give them a fresh perspective through your blog on things that they might already know, but might have not realized the other side of it.

2.Blogging conferences. Yes, it does cost money but it is also the most effective way to gain exposure and be noticed. This is by far the most effective way of marketing yourself and your blog. I see most new bloggers spending money on banner advertisement and such. Save up and head over to a blogging conference, you will be the star among the stars. You will find yourself surrounded by bloggers that are well known and popular. Go ahead and interact with them. When you get back home keep in touch with them. This will help you become a part of an influential network, which in turn will get you noticed.

3.There are bloggers that are newer than you. How about lending them a helping hand? Of course you might not get massive exposure but each time you help a blogger they might be willing to write about you or refer others to you. This will help you establish yourself as an influential blogger among the new crowd giving an immediate exposure to your blog.
I have found these are to be the most underestimated ways of marketing. Give it a shot, I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
Until Next Time,

If you read the post carefully, I talked about getting people to like a facebook page, add stumbles, and other things that result in real traffic. Nowhere did I say for anyone to go and push for fake traffic.
Just thought I would share this if anyone is interested, I appreciate that it’s slightly off-thread.
