Discover The Secrets To Success

Success to some can come easy and to some it’s years and years of hard work. Sometimes the best thing that can motivate us towards reaching our goals can be as simple as words by someone else. The other day I picked up an old book ” Jump Start Your Brain ” by Doug Hall. Although old the the content in the text is something we can apply forever. As I was reading I came across some quotes that might be just the thing we need to discover the secrets to success. Although simple, these quotes provide very powerful meaning and insight and what we should do in order to reach the peak of success.

Every shot you don’t take is a guaranteed miss

This one is a no brainer. If you have an idea make sure to put it in action. If you take a shot, it’s either a hit or a miss. If you don’t, it’s a guaranteed miss.
Put that idea in paper and in action, trust me, with determination you will get where you want.

When familiar people try to solve familiar problems, they tend to develop familiar solutions

You want to be a one man army? Fine! But sometimes the best way to get things done and find a solution is to team up with people that are passionate about your idea and work together. Come on now, you can share a little bit of that money by partnering up, can’t you? ( by the way, I am available ;-) ). Go ahead and find somebody to work with you, two minds are better than one and four eyes will certainly see better than two. [Read more →]

Your Blog, Your Media

Why do you think a lot of start up companies and web services have started integrating blogs as their major source of marketing? Because their blog becomes their own media, a way for them to personally connect to their targeted customers. I feel that anybody who offers a service, be it a freelancer or somebody who just sells stuff on ebay needs to have a blog. A blog serves a purpose for you as it becomes your own media. Think about it, if Jeremy from Shoemoney wants to offer service or sell something, do you really think he needs to spend a dime to advertise? I don’t think so. His blog alone will bring him enough customers and again most of them being blogger themselves, if they write about it on their blogs, it becomes viral marketing.

So why is your blog your own media? Because,

1. You Have Your Own Audience

With your blog you already have established your audience - your readers. If your blog attracts good traffic and has a lot of subscribers you already have a certain number of people you will be exposing your service or product to. It provides a sense of attachment to the consumers ( readers ) since they know you as a blogger and have been connecting with you personally by means of comments. So, your service or product already has potential customers lined up for you.

2. You Are The Spokesperson

If I have a product to sell , I wouldn’t want anybody but me to speak about it. This is another benefit of having a blog as it is your media and you are the spokesperson. The readers you have been connecting to through your posts and articles will be willing to listen to what you have to offer. They like what you write, how you express. So when you speak about your product or service to them through your blog, it’s most likely that they will get more information about it from you than anybody else.

3. You Already Have A Targeted Market

When you started your very own blog, you probably didn’t think of a targeted market unless your blog has a certain niche it is build upon. But as you keep blogging you will see you have gained readers ( customers ) from a certain demographics. This allows you to instantly have a targeted market ready for your service. But again, if you blog about computers and programming , don’t go selling John Deer tractors, that certainly won’t work. [Read more →]

Million Dollar and Million Euro Wiki

For those who haven’t heard of MillionEuroWiki.com and MillionDollarWiki.com you have got to check it out.

The concept of both pages are the same. Its like Wikipedia and you can buy a page on these sites with the word you like. I bought two names “Web” and “Domain Name”. The difference from Wikipedia is that the pages you buy on these sites are owned by the respective owners, and can be used as they please as long as it is not offending to anybody and does not contain any illegal or adult material. Also the content should be relevant to the name of the page.

This a good opportunity for investors as these sites will grow since its viral in nature. MillionDollarWiki has already sold 1020 pages in few weeks and is counting and MillionEuroWiki has sold 73 pages so far.

The other thing with these sites is you won’t really have to drive the traffic. Since your pages are within the site ( like Wikipedia ) if somebody comes to that site and is looking for a page where they can find info on domain name they can click on domain name and BAM… there you go, there is a visitor for you.

Personally, I think both the sites will hit big on the web. Also down the road you will have the opportunity to resell these pages as well. So go ahead and purchase one as the premium names are going away, this is a no brainer not to.

My pages on MillionEuroWiki:

  • Domain Name: Sell and buy domain names
  • Web: Its web so advertise anything that you have on the web here

My Page on Million Dollar Wiki:

  • Contest: Got a contest running on your blog or website, list it here

Guru! Online Marketplace for Freelancers

Guru.com is a global marketplace for freelance talent where employers post jobs in search of individuals with specific talents or skills locally, nationally and globally. If you are looking to make some money from home this is the way to go. Since I have hands on experience using this web service I can personally say that this is one of the best way to go if you are looking to make some extra money from home ( Note:- this is not a “work from home”, get quick rich deal website. If you have talent on a particular field you can try it here but you have to have patience as businesses and employers will hesitate to hire someone new right away ).

How the service works

To use this service you have to create a membership account which is free. After that you can login and see what businesses are looking for ( data entry, programmer, clerical staff, medical reports, language translation, etc ), you can apply for a job based on your talent / skills.

Based on your talent or skill you can bid on these jobs from a particular employer. You can also see the employer’s statistics which shows how much they have paid so far, pending invoices, etc which gives you an idea of how reliable the employer is.

One suggestion, if you do decide to use this service make sure you upload your resume. Although it’s a job from home you do have to prove that you are the right candidate for a job and have what it takes. And who knows, if you get a job once the employer might keep coming back. You might not make as much at once but if you keep getting these job contracts it can be a steady source of income and remember, a million is made up of pennies as well!

In my opinion Guru.com is where people should look for when thinking about making money from home rather than wasting money on all other scams. This is one great online market for work from home job seekers and one of my favorite web services.
