Computer games today has become a part of the youth and mature population alike. Games have evolved then what they were a couple years ago. I remember when I played my first game, it was a 2D game and man I thought it was just wonderful.

There are a lot of speculations about computer games in media constantly but like everything else games are not a waste of time if it is in moderation. Take for example, Second Life. Second Life has become a world of its own in virtual reality. Create your character and make him the way you can never be, buy properties and even make and trade money ( Linden Dollars ). You think games are a waste of time? Think again! In Second Life, hundreds of businesses have created their virtual stores and are pulling customers through the site, is it a waste of time? I don’t think so.

Again it all comes down to how you are using it. If you are an 8 year old on the computer 8 hours a day then yes it is a waste of time and both energy and resources. Computer games teach us a lot in terms of making judgment. Games as long as played in moderation and for fun are good and when you can use it to promote your business, that is a boon.

TIP: If you have a store and would like to promote it hurry up and type in www.secondlife.com and get into this game. There are millions of users in this game and you can buy a virtual property here and set up a business, provide info and get some potential leads.

GAME BANG: So games are waste of time eh? According to Reader’s Digest a 19 year old boy won 250,000 dollars by winning a gameboy contest and what’s next? He gets paid 115 dollars an hour to teach people strategies to master game!

Now Tell Me Gaming Is a Waste of Time! For some it might be the best way to utilize their time.
