Google wont keep its services for free

Gmail and Picasa Albums are going fee based if you need more storage. At the moment gmail offers users 2.82 GB of free space and Picasa album offers 1 GB of free space. Users who have been using these free services from the search giant can update their storage upto a whooping 250 GB for a fee.
What is the fee structure? If you need upto 6 GB of storage Google plans to charge $ 20 per year and for 250 GB of storage plan to shell out $500.
