I think we all knew, or have heard that animals dream. If you’re one of the six million to view the dreaming dog that runs into a wall, then you know that animals dream. After watching the video, I decided to do some research on animals, and find out just exactly what’s happening when they dream. The results are very interesting.

Just in case you haven’t seen the video yet, here’s Bizkit the Sleep Walking Dog…

What you see above, is dream patterns that resemble much of how humans dream. In this article, about an ongoing study at MIT, we learn much about how and what animals are dreaming of. The research could one day help with many mental illnesses that are based around memory (Alzheimer’s disease, amnesia).

In the study at MIT, they tested rats to find out what causes their brains to dream the way they do. They sent the the rats on a circular track, and monitored their brain patterns. Later when the rats slept, the monitored their brain patterns yet again. When the rats entered REM sleep, and began dreaming their brain patterns were exactly the same. So much in fact the researcher believes they’ve discovered a link between thoughts, and motions during the day with what happens in dreams.

The best way to learn, as usual, is to observe and listen to others. We as bloggers are constantly trying to find new ways to learn and soak up some tips on blogging. If you are one of us, then this post is for you. A couple days ago I started a game ” Use a Letter, Share a Blogging Tip “. The whole idea of the game was to get readers to participate and share tips on blogging, starting from A to Z.

Although anybody can visit the game post and read comments, I thought it would be much more easier to compile them all in one post. I hope you guys are enjoying your weekend. I had to work today but ended up calling in sick ( I was sick, honest ) and slept the whole day away. Yeah not very smart thing to do. Anyways, as usual I had a chance to read some great articles on other blogs. So here it is for you to check ‘em out just incase you missed them.

You guys have a great weekend. I have to work tomorrow ( Sunday ) and I can’t call in sick anymore, although I am sick .

We all know Christmas is about giving. Although I would like to give my readers a lot more, at the moment all I can give is some link backs and entrecard credits. It’s the weekend and I am pretty sure you guys are enjoying whatever it is you like to do. I don’t really look forward to weekends as I have to work ( I know it sucks ). I had a chance to read some interesting posts ( as usual ) from around the blogosphere and thought you might enjoy it too.

It’s pretty exciting as this marks the 100th post on Work n Play since it started in August 2007. This blog has grown in terms of traffic, hopefully quality and been through many changes and I myself think I am growing as a blogger. I thought of sending out a thank you that is long overdue and what better way to utilize the 100th post.
