Cre8buzz - Social Networking Site

Social Networking Sites - they seem to be everywhere! Myspace and Facebook laid out the path for other networking sites but it has been a while since we have had any good ones come out on the internet. I was glad when I came across cre8buzz as this site has a very clean and fresh look to it compared to Myspace’s cluttered and advertisement jammed interface.

Cre8buzz.com, still in private Beta is said to be out in public in about couple weeks, probably 4-5 weeks at the most. I was lucky enough to get an invitation to join the private beta testing to give feedbacks on any bugs and so on. I joined yesterday and I used the site for about 3 hours and I didnt have any problems, so it is surely going in the right path.

Another things that really won me over was the design of this site. The site is clean and very soothing to look at with nice design and easy navigation. Your profile has sections divided into categories like podcasting, video galleries, pictures, recent visitors, comment box and you can change the layout as well just as you do it in myspace, but again in a much better way than Myspace offers it.

You can see from the screenshots above the layout is very clean and fresh. Once this site goes in public and if you are looking to network, this site should be a must add on your list.

Free Software - Everyday

This post was Submitted by Sriram ( Guest Writer at Work N Play

Giveaway Of the Day is a website that gives away free licenced versions of software and games every day. The main object of the site is for the readers to sample the site’s sponsors’ offerings. You get free “pro” versions of software of Premium Booster, Advanced Windows Care and stuff. You’ll be given one copy of the software free everyday.

Although you get these licensed softwares for free, you cannot update the software and cannot claim tech support either. You must install and register the software on the same day. They also give away some small games like the “Brave Dwarves Pack” everyday. Besides there is a great forum where they have a list of freeware alternatives for essential software. There’s no registering on the site. Just open the site and start downloading.

Great New Mobile Texting Service

This is a pretty neat service! As usual on my quest to find something out of the ordinary and useful I came across this site (mosio) which lets you text a question using your mobile phone and you can get upto four answers. Yes, you do have friends and families to help you out with your queries but I can bet they dont know answers to all the questions you have.

These questions are answered by real people who are referred to as QnAgents. You might think the service is pretty silly as you can have answers through google mobile and other app but as far as I know google mobile wont help you answer ” What is the most beautiful country in the world?”, yeah its silly but sometimes its just plain fun. Think of having an arguement with a friend or a colleague and nobody can help you answer the question, this is when Mosio service comes in handy. Although in Beta it worked fine for me.

Before you can use this service you will have to check if this service is available for your phone. I have my service through Sprint so it was available and as far as I can see they have all the major carriers so you shouldn’t have a problem. Here is the link to test your phone, test my phone

To try it out text a question ( anything ) to qna@mosio.com and get 4 free answers by real people. Let me know through your comments how your experience was, as for me it was fun and its just another service that I learned about.

Video chat with upto 6 people – Simultaneously!

This service is outstanding and it is simply groundbreaking, in the sense that it is free and it is available for home users and not just for professionals. Work N Play is proud to bring you the information on a multi–user video chat application which supports upto 6 people simultaneously.

Oovoo, still in Beta is an application that will let you chat with your mom, dad, brother, sister and yes the annoying uncle and aunt as well, all at the same time via different computers. Since this service is free it makes it even more tempting to try it out and as you can guess I did. When I used this application to chat with all my annoying co-workers, I didn’t have any problems with the application whatsoever ( although I did end up closing after chatting for 5 minutes, that’s how long I can handle my co-workers for ).

You can use this application to send video messages and file to other oovoo members and video messages to people who don’t have this application as well. In my opinion this software worked great and it is an option for us, home users, to be able to chat with multiple people at the same time. A great way for people who work from home and have the need for conferencing without paying a dime ( Yes, it supports only upto six people at a time but still its better than nothing ).

The Beta version currently is out for Windows only but Mac version is said to be out anyday, so Mac users bundle up some patience and wait!

Convert RSS feeds to Audio

Personally, this service is one of the best service there could be for bloggers. We as bloggers and blog readers dont always find time to sit infront of the computer and read articles from our favorite blogs. Well, there is a solution to that.

Odiogo is a free service that lets you convert your RSS feeds into high quality audio format which can either be embedded into your website or downloaded into your ipod or MP3 player. This sure makes life easier on the run as you can let your busy readers listen to your posts instead of sitting infront of the computer. Great service and its free.
