ProductWiki - Wikipedia like site for products

Hi! It seems you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! Feel free to leave comments on posts!

ProductWiki resembles Wikipedia in the sense it offers exact same service but for product reviews. On this site, each user can review products and add their own reviews or edit reviews submitted by other users.

So, in a nutshell this site allows you to look at products that are reviewed by consumers, like us so you can get unbiased opinion and facts from other users. Also the reviews are divided into categories which makes it much easier to find a particular review on. Each product has a brief description which is followed by user edited pros and cons.

I found this site to be very informative as reviews come out from general users and not through sponsored results, which most of the time are biased. Think about it, if somebody wants to put an ad on my blog, I would be somewhat biased towards their products as they are paying for their ad to run on my blog. I loved this site and will be visiting regularly to see what people have to say about products that I am interested in, what about you?

Chinswing – Web Forum with voice instead of text

Have you ever felt the need to participate in a web forum without having the need to type? Wouldn’t it be nice to share your feelings and opinions using your voice instead of fingers on a web forum?

Chinswing, a service which lets you share and participate in a discussion does exactly that. You can use voice messages to participate in an ongoing topic, ask for suggestions, start a new discussion and all this will be done using voice messages instead of text postings. I know, relief to the sore fingers.

Some of the features that I liked about this service is being able to use your voice instead of your fingers, ofcourse, and the fact that everything is divided into categories so you can pick a particular category and start participating.

Cool service, by the way, I love those little green monster, gobblin images on the front page.

Why go to Church? Confess at i4Giveu

This post was supposed to be for tomorrow but I couldn’t wait, so here it is!

Wow! Yes, wow is the word to define this site. I had no clue in the known world, there would be a site like this, it is amazing. Alright I am going to stop hitting darts in dark and get right to the point.

I4giveu is a website that allows you to post your sins and be rated from other members. You can rate other people’s sin based on whether or not it is forgivable. It is pretty neat, I don’t know how many people would take the word of other members instead of a priest, but hey it’s a fun time in there.

The good thing about the site is to rate a sin, you do not have to be a member. You can signup and post your sins and see how forgivable it is or just go ahead and put a halo or horns on sins done by other members. I tried it and I was kind of hooked. Some of the sins people have posted in there are hilarious. Also the tag cloud makes it really easy to pick a particular subject and make a comment on it.

Like I said, I am not sure how many people would consider my forgiving over a priests but it sure as heck is fun. You have got to try it out. Lemme know what you think through your comments.

Cre8Buzz.com - Going Public

For those who don’t know about Cre8buzz.com, it is a new social networking site that I had written a review on about a week ago. Please click on the link to read my post on Cre8buzz.

Review of Cre8Buzz.com

After over a year since its inception, Cre8buzz has finally decided to go public. Yes, mark your calendar, since this site will certainly get you noticed if you are looking for some buzz on the web. I had an opportunity to test this site during the private beta testing and I loved it.

This site will go public on October 7th 2007 at 12:01 AM, however, the site will still be in Beta just to work the bugs out of the system, although I found some bugs during my private beta testing, nothing hindered my networking or use of this site.

Currently there are 644 private beta members, including me so make sure to sign up as soon as you can as this will increase your chances to get the buzz going around quickly. If you are looking to network with professionals and mostly bloggers, then you are going to love this site and all the bloggers that reside within this community.

I will see you there on October 7th. If you want to view my profile after the site goes public, here is the link Ritu’s Profile ( you will have to wait till the site goes public to view it ) and just like grandma used to say ” try it before you say no “.

Diigo – Post sticky notes on sites you visit

I came across this site recently and I can definitely say it has made my browsing experience much more simplified and pleasurable.

Diigo is a social annotation site that lets you post sticky notes on a webpage so next time you visit the site you remember something that you would otherwise forget. Just like that post-it-note that you stuck on your computer to remind you of something. Think, you visited Work N Play and added it to your favorites and you didn’t visit the site for a month ( that is rude ) and when you eventually did you forgot something that you wanted to say or write or read on the site. This is where diigo comes in handy.

When you find a site and like it or have something you want to do later you can create a sticky post to remind you later, this sticky post stays on that site and you will be able to view it only when you browse the net by signing in to your diigo account. Also you can highlight texts on any site and add a note or remark as well.

Please see the screenshots:

A sticky note to remind me of what the site is about next time I visit

Highlighted text on a site that I found important will stay highlighted so next time I visit the site I know what I thought was important on that page

Diigo also offers a toolbar which makes this process even simpler. You can sign in from the toolbar and start browsing the internet as you usually do. Whenever you come across a site that you stuck a note onto, it will be displayed. To make it even easier once you post a note or highlight a text on a site, you don’t have to try to remember it as everytime you post a note or highlight a sites text it will be saved under My Bookmarks in the toolbar. So next time just click on My Bookmarks and you can get the list of all the sites that you used a sticky post to. You can import your favorites from your favorites folder as well.

I have been using this service for about a week and a half and I am loving it. It has given my aging mind some rest as I don’t have to try to remember some things because Diigo takes care of it for me.

Animoto - Create Video Using Your Images

Sometimes while browsing the internet you find things that you just can’t go without trying. Animoto is a web service that lets you create your own trailer ( just like a movie ) or video using images from your computer and a tune.

The main objective of this site is to allow you to create a video or a trailer using your images which animates or moves along with the tune of the music you provide. You can also select tunes from their library which currently has Indie Rock, HipHop and Electronica.

Sample Video I made using my Images ( I tried embedding the video here but for some reason it didnt work, so please click the link to watch the video )

The site is simple to use, just upload your pictures, choose a music and hit create video. The only drawback that I found on this site was when the video was rendering, it almost took five minutes to create a video using ten images that I had uploaded, but after the video was created I felt every second was worth the wait.

Another great feature of this site, Animoto boasts that no two videos are ever similar. You can remix your videos and add different music to them and see what it comes up with. Also you can embed the videos on your blog or website or add it to MySpace, FaceBook and other popular social networking sites from animoto itself. Just be careful as this site can be very addictive, I played with this site for almost two and half hours last night just trying to see what it comes up with.

Creating a membership is free and you can create a thirty second video for free but anything longer than that will cost $3.00 per video or you can pay a $30.00 yearly fee and get all access.
