Crazy, Funny Or Inspirational?

We have all had times during our blogging career when something unexpected happens. You can’t really say whether it was funny, crazy or inspirational. Today, I had been wondering all day as to what to write and finally I had decided not to write anything ( remember, when you have nothing to say, it’s best to say, well, nothing ) until I got an email from a person asking me if I was hiring.
Ok, let me clear something first. I don’t own a company or a business, I am not in any position to hire or fire anybody where I work and this email came out of nowhere, asking me if I was interested in hiring him at Work N Play. My first thought as you can imagine was ” Wow, this is crazy ” which later shifted to a laughter and I called it ” Man, that was funny “. After thinking about this email for a while my whole perception changed as to what to think of it.
I have never thought of this blog being anything else but just a blog, a way for me to express my views and may be earn a little income on the side as well. But this email has given me something else to ponder about. Would I ever be able to use this blog as a step to achieving something beyond just a blog? May be. My whole thinking towards this email has shifted to an inspirational and motivational message. Why did this person think I was in any position to hire? Why did this blog qualify in this person’s eyes as to it might be something he might want to work for? The question probably will never be answered but I am thankful he emailed me as I have a new goal and a new height to reach. I have ideas and thoughts that I would like to put in action, just like all of us and hopefully I will get to them someday, hopefully this blog will provide me the boost I need, hopefully this email has inspired me enough to make it something out of this blog.

My response to the applicant
Dear Mr. ( name withheld ),
Thank You for applying at Work N Play but currently we are unable to offer you an employment. The reason being that we are in no position to hire anybody. Hopefully in a couple of years we will get there.
We would like to sincerely thank you for inquiring and your interest at Work N Play. You have given us a new way to look at things and this blog itself. Please check back in a couple years and if you are still interested we will hire you without any doubt. If we ever get there, we would like you to know that it was because of you, as you have given us a new horizon to look at and a higher sky to seek for.
So what do you think of this incident? Crazy, funny or inspirational? Also, do you have anything crazy,funny or inspirational you would like to share with us?
Hi Ritu, it goes to say whatever you’re doing with Work n Play is on the right track! Employees want to work for something or someone that they perceived to be of value… be it an esteemed company or a charismatic boss. The fact he approached you for a job… goes to show this.
Just keep doing what you’re doing… persistently and I’m sure you’ll get great results..

pretty cool. are you the only person working on this blog as of now? Do you have other people helping you? Running a blog by yourself is pretty tough . . . I wish I had someone to help me with some of the details.

turtie - As of now I am the only one that handles this blog. I don’t think I have reached a point where I would want others to help me out. Although, I am thinking about adding some guest writers so as to bring some variety to the blog’s content and presentation.

Exactly! I had been wondering all day as to what to write and BAMMM! I got this email in my inbox and there you go, a content for a post :-). By the way thanx for taking the time to visit. Also your blog has a very different niche and its wonderful to find a blog in that subject.
Keep us posted whats inside those booths, let us know some of the trade secrets they hide in there
