Library of Congress Starting A YouTube Channel
If you’ve ever read up on the Library of Congress, then you know the history that the historical archive holds. Some of the pieces of literature, and recordings that have made our country what it is today is housed inside its hallowed walls. Matt Raymond, of the Library of Congress reports on his blog that the LOC looks to be tearing those walls down.
Meaning, that the LOC now has its own YouTube channel. At present, there are 70 videos up. The topics vary from the first known moving image, to boxing cats, and so on. In fact, both of those videos are below for your viewing pleasure. And below those is a link to the LOC’s YouTube Channel.

What a wonderful idea,as that would/could share what in the L of C
The library was established in 1800, was housed in the Capitol and had a very small collection when the British burned it along with the Capitol during the War of 1812.
Pretty cool to see the Library of Congress have their own youtube channel, abit surprised though at the low number of subscribers!

It’s definitely great to see them take this initiative. Wish more would follow suit. There is nothing like opening up your vast amount of information to the public using the internet.
I made a youtube channel for beauty tips (hair makeup fashion etc) and its really fun and i have a decent amount of subscribers. But I’m scared that people from my high school will see my videos and will think I’m weird because I make Youtube videos! Is there a way to block videos from certain place? Or how can I avoid people stumbling upon my videos? Thanks!
