Google recently punished quite a few websites for selling text links, stressing the fact that it was not legitimate to do so. This has got many into thinking about using this way of monetizing their sites. So can we still make money selling text links? I think there is an answer and the answer might be utilizing the “text link buy and sell” service offered by TNX.net. When I first came across this site I wasn’t sure what to expect. My first thought was, is it worth it? Does anybody really want to hurt their PR (as it seems to be of utmost importance) by selling text links on their blogs or websites after what Google just did in the last update? That was the first answer I needed, so I headed over to the FAQ section to see if there was anything I could find for an answer. And I did, this is a part from the FAQ that I am posting here,

Can search engines somehow identify links sold or purchased through TNX ?

Answer: There are no marks of any kind that would let search engines identify links sold or purchased through TNX. All links look like they were installed manually, so there is absolutely no way a search engine can identify your website is selling or purchasing links through the TNX system.

So far so good!

You can use this service either to earn money by selling text links, market your website or blog and service by buying links or using the generous affiliate program. I have tried to list them below as to why this might be something we should all look into.

Webmaster - Why should you use TNX to sell text links?

#1. The most important thing to analyze when you offer to sell text links is ” how much money can you generate ? ” Usually when you sell text links they are either on the main page or sitewide. This is exactly where you are loosing money because with TNX you can use every page to sell text links. For instance, if you have 500 pages and you are willing to sell 5 text links on each page, thats a total of 2,500 links that is genrating money for you.

#2. So you are thinking” What do you think my Site is? A linkfarm?” Hold on before you make any assumptions. TNX assures webmasters that all the links placed are based on the relevancy of the page. If you have a page that serves information about different kinds of flowers, TNX assures that you wont find links on that page for ” computers and gadgets. ” And you get to choose the category of your site so you get relevant links put up on your site.

#3. Earning money using this service is as simple as copying and pasting a code into your pages. Once the code is integrated into your site all you need to do is wait for the money to roll in ( it might not be as soon as TNX says it will, but I think it will generate money overtime ).

#4. You have the option to control the links. Although you place the code on your site and TNX takes care of business, once a link is sold on your site’s pages you can go to the dashboard and block, delete or ban the entire website that you don’t like. Also the FAQ section of the site stresses the fact that there won’t be any links placed that are offensive in nature or pornographic and related to drugs and pahrmeceutical.

#5. The TNX points that you have earned either by purchasing them or through affiliate links ( will talk about it below ) can be cashed in as well. You can sell these links to other TNX members or sell it directly to TNX itself. More money

Advertisers - Why should you use TNX to Buy text links?

#1. As a webmaster and owner of a site you must market yourself as well and TNX allows you to do all that from one platform which integrates the advertising aspect very well.

#2. All the links bought are usually placed where they will be noticed. And again advertisers buy links on site that are relevant to their product or site. So the people looking at your links on other websites are all from your targeted market.

#3. You can buy links from site based upon your preference meaning you can choose whether to buy links from a site that has a PR of 6 and 35000 backlinks or PR of 1 and 500 backlinks. I found the division of points based on where you are buying the links to be pretty decent.

#4. Since the system works on points that can be sold for cash, you have an option to get rid off extra points for cash if you don’t plan on using them. So market yourself to sell points as well.

#5. Cheap and effective way to increase your backlinks and get ranked higher in search engines. Since all the links that you buy are targeted links and keywords, your chances of getting higher search engine results are pretty good. Isn’t that what all advertisers want?

Affiliates - Why should you join TNX as an Affiliate?

#1. TNX offers a generous affiliate program as well which can earn you, well more points ( money ).

#2. Everytime somebody joins from your referral link you are bound to make points ( money ) as long as your referral does. Whatever points your referral earns you will get 13.3%, which is paid as points and deposited into your account ( no waiting for the minimum payout )

#3. There are some neat tools that will allow you to generate referrals without being known that you are trying to do that. Be careful not to spam using these tools.

This site is gaining massive publicity as they have been reviewed by popular and smaller blogs. As of now, there are 33,512 users and 31,106,405 links has been sold. The alexa ranking of TNX.net currently is 12,225 and it doesn’t look like its slowing down. I don’t know what will motivate you to use this site, the hype, the positive popularity or the money. As for me if I can see an opportunity to make money, I am in it, atleast till it fails to prove itself. Overall, I find this site to be pretty useful. I have submitted my site for consideration and am waiting for the reply which they say takes about 2 – 3 days. I think it’s a bit too much of a wait to get an approval but again if its going to make me money, I guess I have to be patience.

Now the only thing we can do is to wait and see how google will react to this form of text link selling. Although the website states that there are no marks that it can be tracked down, I think google has both, resources and brain power to crack down any system. So my advice to you is “ Make Money But At Your Own Risk “ because with google, you never know.
