What Do You Do When You Have Nothing To Write?

So what exactly do you do when you have nothing to write? Some say, write nothing while other’s just try to come up with whatever they can. Well, if you are a blogger, I am pretty sure you are a reader as well. One of the best way to create a post when you have nothing to write is link to posts that you have read and think might be useful for your readers.

Well, I have nothing to write and that’s exactly what I am going to do, write nothing and link to posts that I think might be useful for you. Some of the links I have listed here are quite old but thought I would share them with you anyway, just in case you haven’t had a chance to read them.

Hope you enjoy these links

  • There you go, I had nothing to write so I thought I would share these posts from other blogs with you. Hold On! I do have something to write. I have been reading a book lately ” Jump Start Your Brain ” by Doug Hall. It’s an old book but as I was reading it I came across a quote that I could relate to blogging and bloggers in general. So here you go, some more for me to share with you.

When I’m not feeling creative, I just turn off the word processor, sit back, take a sip of coffee, and say to myself, ” Hey, I can ALWAYS get another job, such as coal miner.” And then I turn the old word processor right back on and become AMAZINGLY creative.

Ok, I already hate what I do for living ( it’s not blogging ) and I don’t plan to make it any worse. This quote should help you come up with something to write before you start posting links everyday ;-)

    1. There is another nice way to share posts you like. I know you arent to enthusiastic about google but i use google reader for my feeds, It has a nice “share” option where it let you bookmark important posts. Here is my shared bit (not too much in there yet)

    2. Hi Ritu!

You might want to give your readers a heads up about some Fr*ee Software Downloads from TechSmith: Camtasia3 and SnagIt7.
These are full licenses, not trials.
I posted about it on MakeUseOf .
Links and instructions are provided there.

      Enjoy!

      Linda,
it’s always nice to see you come and visit. Thanx for the info, thats a great deal.

    4. nice links. good reads. i’m going to start blogging again, but will probably do so on the main site! how do you find the time to update and what not? you are amazing!

    5. turtie,
Yes you should start blogging. I loved reading your blog. By the way email me the link to your other blog.

About finding time to blog and update, well, gotta do what you gotta do ;-)

    6. I’ve struggled with writers block many times, I even wrote two posts on the topic. Sometimes I find it better to just ask yourself a different question than ‘what do I write?’ to get the creative juices flowing. Last time I was struck by the dreaded writers block, I started a new discussion in Blogcatalog, that helped, plus other bloggers helped out with ideas.

I’ll have to visit more often,
      Peace!

    7. So true and that’s great advice. As long as it’s helpful to your readers that is a great way of producing valuable content for your readers.
